What?....no .com!

Q: What happened to oldblowers.com?

We wanted to be able to keep the oldblowers.com address but alas due to circumstances beyond our control it is no longer with us.

First we tried to move it to a cheaper domain registrar but this failed as it was within the final 10 days of the current registration - it cannot be moved in this period. OK, so then we'll re-register it with the current guys - but NO their website was bust so we couldn't re-register it. In fact we really wanted to give their company money but all we got was a blank page when we clicked 'Re-register your domain'!

So the 10 days of final registration passed with numerous attempts to register and raise the company by phone in the states - no joy and hence the domain registration on oldblowers.com expired.

However the best bit is still to come - it is currently in a 40 day transition period until we can register it cheaply again. Currently if we want it back it'll cost $600! - "bargain, we'll take two guv".

We'll try and get it back and point it at this site but as we are actually an organisation many have said the .org option is probably for the best. If indeed we do get it back the current intention is still to use .org as the main address and just keep the .com for a short while for continuity sake.
